Bailey puts her head down in her hand. She huffs superloud. I copy her. And Ella copies me. Huff. Huff. Huff. This makes Bailey huff some more.

“STOP!” Bailey shouts. Ella and I freeze like statues. Baby Rabbit does, too.

“Isn’t this supposed to be about pandas?” Bailey asks. “Why don’t you start with what you know about pandas?”

“Pandas are cute!” I say.

“They are adorable!” Ella adds.

“Baby Xiao is my forever friend,” I say as my heart thump-thump-thumps. “He needs our help.”

“Okaaaay,” Bailey says. “But how are you going to convince people to help the pandas if you don’t have any facts?”

“Facts?” Ella and I repeat together. My jaw drops open. FACTS? I turn to Ella. She turns to me. We do not know panda facts.

“I have facts!” Jae calls from the kitchen. He runs over. He’s holding a stack of papers as thick as a book. “I have lots of panda facts.” Jae’s smile spreads to his eyes.

Gramma comes over, too.

“Hoong mow,” Gramma says. She holds up the panda costume she sewed.

It. Is. PERFECT.

I jump up and down. Glitter flies out of my magic cape and sprinkles down over us.

Our panda show is going to be the best!
